Soprano Bella and Singers in Disguise May 2016 Newsletter
I wrote this whilst sitting on our business class flight with Norwegian Airlines with my youngest son writing our May newsletter on the way to California where we will be living for the next 14 months! Focusing on our Singers in Disguise USA!
May was a busy month in the UK for Soprano Bella and our UK Singers in Disguise. We kicked off with a solo performance by me in North London where I played Clumsy Cake Dropping Opera Singing Waitress for an Italian 60th Birthday celebration. PHOTO
Next came a fantastic looking event for the Mayor of Hertsmere at Elstree Studios. Everyone looked like they had a great time including the artistes! Well done Mandy Watsham Dunstall, Amanda Goldthorpe Hall and Wyn Pencarrig
The next day, Amanda joined Nicholas Ransley. & Bernadine Pritchett for an event in a beautiful wildlife estate. :
“Dear Katrina , it is now a week since we had a wonderful party at Sibton Lissie and I would like to congratulate your artists for doing such a wonderful performance , they were “simply the best “ and raised the level of the party , and drink consumption !!. beyond expectations . We cannot thank you enough and look forward to the next event when we, or better still one of our friends , can ask you again.Alan Lissie.”
Other engagements included a performance with Me, Ian and Laura Abella in Herefordshire, then at the De Vere in Watford, which was in my opinion one of my all-time favorite performances in many years of the act as we had such a classy range of music including Stuart Boother’s Granada, The Phantom of the Opera Duet (with a belting live top E from your truly! ) all the way through to Cleo de Souza bursting into the act as our Singing Waitress with ‘Valerie’. A perfect mix of music in my opinion.

And I very much enjoyed 2 solo performances in May, one as a Birthday Cake droping Waitress in North London on May the 2nd and another for a civil wedding at the beautiful Royal Pavilions in Brighton- what an amazing venue!
It was great to sing along side Stuart Boother again as he has been very busy this year performing on the Cruise ships and doing amazing stuntman work in Rome and Johnny Amobi who has also been busy with his new Mo-town act and Ian who has been busy working in a play in the West End for the last few months.
June is busy both in the UK and USA with our first double booking on the 25th June for Singers in Disguise USA both in New York and Kalamazoo!
